From the General Chiropractic Council (GCC):
Following the Prime Ministers’ announcement on 4th January of a new national lockdown in England, and Scotland’s First Minister’s issuing of a stay-at-home order, patients and members of the public should be aware that chiropractors across the UK are able to continue to care for patients.
They are expected to have measures in place to keep patients safe and minimise the risk of transmission including the wearing of PPE and social distancing in communal areas.
Although we still expect to be in lockdown for at least another month, here at West Dorset Chiropractic we have put in as many measures as possible to keep you safe when visiting the clinic.
We allow for long gaps between patients to allow for thorough cleaning and airing of the treatment rooms. This also means there should be no meeting of other people in the waiting room.
On arrival, there is a sink where you can wash your hands or a hands-free sanitiser so you can choose which you prefer. We will provide you with a new medical grade IIR mask and check your temperature at the door to reassure you that you are well and are not asymptomatic.
All surfaces are cleaned with antiviral cleaner and the floor is steam cleaned regularly.
I wear a fresh mask, apron and gloves for every patient.
Please bear with us if it is a little harder to book an appointment as we can see fewer people to allow for the cleaning and airing of the clinic.
If you are in pain we will do our best to fit you in as soon as possible. We are doing our best to keep you as safe as we can. If you can’t get an appointment straight away, please leave a message and I will call you back to discuss how we can help.
If I am not in the clinic it may be that I am out doing my bit for the vaccination programme as I have volunteered my services as a vaccinator.
