Types Of Shoulder Pain

A lot of people have shoulder pain, it can have many sources such as driving, poor posture and repetitive movements such as in some sports , your pain may be caused by one of the following…

Fozen shoulder

A frozen shoulder, the technical term for this is ‘adhesive capsulitis’. The precise cause of a frozen shoulder is not known but it often comes on after a previous trauma, maybe years in the past, or occasionally alongside other medical conditions such as diabetes or thyroid problems.

Rotator Cuff Muscle Group

Rotator cuff problems. The rotator cuff is a group of muscles in the shoulder which stabilise it while it moves. A strain or tear of one or more of these muscles or their tendons can cause a painful and restricted shoulder.

Inflammation Of A Bursa

Bursitis. Inflammation of a bursa which is a fluid filled bag that acts like a cushion between tendons and bones, this can occur after injury or alongside a rotator cuff problem.

Tendons In The Shoulder (Tendonitis)

Tendonitis. There are many tendons in the shoulder which can be injured.

Osteoarthritis In The Shoulder Join Or Colar Bone

Osteoarthritis either of the shoulder joint, or the joints with the collar bone.

Shoulders are very complicated joints  We can help to pinpoint the problem and work with you to restore your movement and reduce your pain.

Chiropratic treatment involves working with the muscles and the joints, and often dry needling (medical acupuncture) which can be very effective here.
